Sunday Experiments: Messy Mattifying & Saran

OK my lovelies if you read the blog you'll see that I picked up Essie Matte About You last week so to day was really messing around with that and seeing what I could get it to do.

I first tried it on over my manicure for this week which I think looks hot (apart from the bodged bit), its one of the Autumm designs!... Anyway I also tried out some patters with the Matte about you... read on if you're interested:

No. 13 - Strawberries and Cream (Wimbeldon Inspired) Nail Art Design

I was a bit late getting round to do these, but I only got some more fake nails this weekend, and I'm glad I put it off because I picked up the cutest Red Glitter from Barry M which I think gave it a really nice finishing touch.

I started off by doing the tips in Essie Blanc (two coats) followed by Shade 6 or 8 of the old MUA nail varnishes (one coat) followed up with a coat of Barry M Red Glitter.

I used my Bourjois - Sunny Sun to do the Polka Dot detail using a cocktail stick, and used my Summer Limited Edition Neon Green Barry M as the base of the Accent nail, and Spring Green for the detail.

Let me know what you think of this mani and what you want to see more of on the blog, would really appreciate any help as quite new to this!

Summer Fashion: Where is the Yellow?

Bright colours are in, yay! But I've got a real crush with canary yellow and lemon at the moment. There are a few bags out there but it is a night-mare colour co-ordinating with any shoes, unless they are highheels, which I don't wear to work and I wouldn't want to drive in...

So where is all the yellow? I have seen some pumps in the Office sale that are really cute in the sale, but I am stuck on the hand bags. If you know any shops sharing my yellow love affair please

Today I have just bought some yellow Barry M - Station Road but it's a textured effect which I stupidly didn't realise before purchasing. I also picked up a Gelly Pink to qualify for a Limited Edition Neon Green :)

So tonight I am going to pick up some Bourjois yellow Nail varnish and do with white caviar tips or might do some daisy's! I will post the nail art tonight or tomorrow but in the mean time leave me a comment and let me know what colour your in love with this summer!
