Nail Polish Advent Calendar- Avon Real Red - Dec 9th

One of the key colours of Christmas - Real Red! I was made up when I opened this door and it is a lovely colour,  so much I will be applying it again for the Christmas party!

This apllied lovely, two thin coats do the job, have had several comments on this colour real joy to wear!

Have used a top coat of seche vite to cover up any impressions and it looks very glam!

10/10.

What's your favourite red?

Nail Polish Advent Calendar - Avon Coral Reef - Dec 7th

December 7th, we're almost a third of way through the wait! (If you're a saddo like me).

This is a bit of a Punchy Colour, as a general rule I am all the wrong shades of Pale to rock!
But it is a Very Jolly ...

Nail Polish Advent Calendar - Avon Pink - Dec 5th

A little late with this post (but did you honestly expect any better from me?) But this is window 3, Dec 5th!

(As you can see we have a breaker on the way Ring Finger!)

It's a baby pink which I am always dubious about but....

Nail Polish Advent Calendar - Avon Sea Breeze - Dec 3rd

So the polish I got yesterday was Sea Breeze from the Nailwear Pro+ collection.
It's a pastel green, not quite mint but would look great as a background colour for some pattern stamping.

Keep reading to see how it went...

Nail Polish Advent Calender - Avon Golden Vision - Dec 1st

Everyone should but themselves a gift a Christmas,  and this is (one of) mine to me!
I saw a fabby Nail Varnish Calendar in the Avon mag, with 12 polishes in and today is Day 1 - Golden Vision!

It is a bright metallic which I love and is great for showing off other bright colours, read on to see two coats & my Christmas Nail Art...

Avon Radiant Rose Stardust Review & Swatch

Soon party season will be upon us and Avon have launched a new range of varnies called Stardust. Their are about 7 different colours and this swatch shows 2 coata of Radiant Rose which is the pink colour!

So it's a glittery texture with a nice punchy colour. This might sound a bit odd but I think this varnish looks better on shorter nails (I really don't like textures on long nails, looks a bit odd for some reason.)

Nail Art: Teal & Gold Leaf (Quick, Easy & Simple)

As per I have not been blogging but hoping to get a few posts and reviews lined up.
Thought I would treat you all to a lovely piece of arty farty I did a month or so ago...

Base colour is a dark turquoise from Topshop, then I have stamped over the top in white,  and filled in the gold detail by hand!

Do you like this effect?

Avon Dazzle Pink Gel Review

So earlier this year Avon launched a series of Gel varnishes, I have inherited this colour from one of the ladies at work as she didn't like the colour and I have also purchased the bright red.

FIRST layer of application was fine but a little patchy as most pale colours are, keep reading to see the end result...

Knitting, no nails.

I have been knitting a lot recently but am hoping to start  logging again soon.

Below is one of the knitting projects I have done.

Speak soon,

Easy Glam French Manicure

So this Easter I went out as a bunny to celebrate my 21st!
I decide to go with a classic French Mani with a bit of a twist!

I used Essie Sugar Daddy and Blanc. I just used some tape to keep the tips straight and then used my silver Nail Rock polish to cover up and details where the two over lapped.
I got the gems from poundland and used a drop of nail glue on thr back of the bow before holding in place on the nail.
Hope you like!

We both love the doillies and glitter!

Avon Opal Top Coat review and Barry M Aquarium Mermaid Revue

OK I need to do a review on the opal top coat by it's self but they're both quite jazzy.

I did 2 coats of each but I think the opal looks best with just one coat....

Read on to see two coats of Avon's Opal and  Barry M's Mermaid.

Barry M Aquarium Collection - Pacific and Mediterranean Review

I'm not normally a shiny girl but I saw these colours on another blog I was mesmerised so ofc I had to do my own review.

There are the three coats, it was still a little patchy on the second hence the third.
Love them both. I think I have too many polishes!

Cutsie design with Barry M Grey, Pink and Shany stamping

So I wanted something with grey and pink ans had this triangle idea im my head.
On the first hand I tried changing stamping pattern as well as the colour but I think this left to much going on.
On the second hand I used the same stamping design twice and it looks much more effective.
I will update soon and let you know which stamping plates I used.
Having trouble with my Blogger recently and can only up date from my phone.

Birthday Mani - Shany Cosmetics Stamping - SH52, SH07

So this was a super quick mani I did for my Birthday last Wednesday... It was my 21st if you couldn't tell!

So this was using a Barry M Polish Berry IceCream I got from the girls at work and a Shany Stamping Set from one of my bezzies...

I really love the Geometric Design, it's from a brand called Shany, plate SH25 and the numbers come from SH07. Not too sure how I feel about the Numbers as they remind me of an American Football Jersey? But I did really like this mani.

I think that the Geometric shapes would look at lot Better on a Neon Colour so I will be retrying this out at some point, I really like that pattern though! I will do a post about my Birthday goodies soon!

Peace and Love, Z .\/..

Looking forward to reviewing the Shany Stamping Kit as there's loads of different Patterns, very Impressed with it so far!

And loving my Pastel Barry M's always great for Spring, will be interesting to see how the Strawberry I/c applies as I always find baby pinks a bit flakey so will let you know very soon...

I will post pictures of the Shany Collection over the next couple of weeks x

Barry M Silk - Mist Review & Shany Cosmetics SH01 Plate

So my blogger has been playing me up, so the next few posts will be out of sequence.

Anyway this is the Barry M Silk - Mist.
I really like blue's and as far this goes it is beautiful and rich? in a weird sort of way, I'm not sure how a baby blue can be rich, but it is it's Elegant...

Essentially it is a Matte Metallic, I don't have many (if any) metallic in my collection so haven't played around using a Matte top coat, but I think this is Worth a Purchase on colour alone.

My only problems with it would be Application, this is the second time painting it, and if I was going out out I would probably have waited to put a third coat on top as it is still a bit patchy in places...

and below is a picture of some me having a quick mess around with Shany cosmetics SH01 plate...

My 3 Month Polish Buying Ban is Finally Over...

So I went to my nearest Superdrug, which is only tiny, and saw the new Barry M Silks, ding! Purchased Mist right there and then, next on my list was a red, all the reds in my current collection are getting on a bit to say the least...

I think that this Rasberry is a touch darker than what I was looking for but I will wait to swatch it before I make the finally cut... I have also ordered something from Avon...

Loving Nails - Stamping with Bundle Monster BM11♡

Going out for my mums Birthday dinner I wanted something fairly sophisticated but cutsie so...

For the sophisticated touch I opted for a Red from No.7 and then choose this really cute design out of my Bundle Monster pack Plate BM11 for 2 accent nails. I then did a Barry M Red Glitter topcoat on the other nails...

I think I have finally got better at stamping Although one or two nails might be a bit dodgey... but I think I was actually pressing the stamping rubber down to hard on the plate so it was squishing the polish out rather than picking it up!

I've been a bit busier recently with various projects non nail related but I am hoping to do more short but sweet posts like this, showing you stamping plates and giving you ideas.

Hope you're well.
Peace and Love Z .\/..

I fell off the horse...

Not a Real Horse the Blogging Horse, between working,  living and partying (with not so polished pinkies) I have just not had the time,  the dedication or motivation.

To be honest it's been so long no one's probably going to read this post.

Anyway one of my techniques to get back on the horse is to come up with a design for each nail art gem I have. And tonight was Pearls, Matthew!

So pretty simple design, not sure whether it would of looked better in a straight line down the middle,  probably, oh heignseight!

The gems were from a topshop gem wheel and I used Barry M Cosmo Berry as the base and a clear top coat.

What do you guys do with these pearls?  Post me links to your manis or inspire me!

Lots of love && peace ♡

What's New Pussy Cat

So part of my Christmas haul was cool bits of 3d art so today I thought I'd use the putty tat, one oc my other bits was a Rio professional kit which I have used for the detail.
My right hand is fairly attrocious!
What do you think?

Tiger Time

Just a quick bit of nail art.
I think if I blended the the white and the silver witgh a sponge it would look better.
I need to get a new white but can't wait to try this with other colour combos.

Have you done any tiger stripe manis? Comment below!

The god send of glitter

The other day I had an impromptu visit to Bristol and wanted to whip up something cute and quick.
I only did one thin base coat of No7 blackcurrant which dried very quickly but was a tad patchy, so I went over with their pink glitter.

Here were my scabby nails before hand...

2014 nails

Thesepictures don't really do my NYE nails justice and tbf I didn't put a protective coat on because it never crossed my mind.

Anyway! I used EssieAfter school Boy Blazer and the holos decos available at top shop.

Really liked these nails, shame I didn't secure them properly, really like this glitter kit, great fun!

Hope you all had a fab new year x
